Last ride

A cyclist was hit by a car last week, and about 50 cyclists turned out on a Monday morning to accompany the body to its final resting place. The story has been running in media outlets across the state. Let's hope something good comes out of the loss.

Thirteen hours of basketball in one day definitely makes the phrase seem appropriate.

When there are over 8,000 in one room.
16,800 hens.
1,500 roosters.
77,000 eggs each week.
I never knew roosters tend to attack women rather than men. This one was coming for me when the farmer caught it. Phew.

Basketball season is upon us. Southern Conference tournament, high school state tournaments in Tennessee and Georgia, followed by the NCAA tournament. These are a few that won't run in the paper. Hoping to get better game by game in the next few weeks. I may also go deaf from the roaring crowds and the roaring coaches.

Election woes

The race ended in a runoff, the 29-year-old upstart threatening to unseat an incumbent of 19 years for a city council seat.  I managed to be in two places at once and shoot video.  Gold star in my crown, please?
